Calculation of subchannel power density in 'FULL-CORE' benchmarks for VVER-440 and MIDICORE for VVER-1000 using the SAPFIR_95&RC_VVER program code
Benchmarks [1, 2, 3, 4] discussed in a frame of the paper represent detailed pin by pin 2D calculations made by Monte Carlo method. The main purpose of these benchmarks is verification of macro-codes that are used for neutronic calculations of VVER reactors.
The SAPFIR_95&RC_VVER program code uses two methods of pin by pin power distribution's calculation: superposition method and direct "fine-grid" method where radial grid points in the core coincide with the centers of fuel elements in the fuel assembly.
