International Seminars on Horizontal Steam Generators
A series of International Seminars on Horizontal Steam Generators, started in March 1991, was traditionally held in Lappeenranta (Finland). The first Seminars (1991 and 1992) were devoted to experiments in the field of thermal hydraulics and analytical simulation of flow behavior in horizontal steam generators for water-cooled water-moderated power reactor (WWER) plants. At the subsequent Seminars held in 1994, 1997 and 2001 the scope of topics was extended substantially and issues on steam generator structural integrity were included. Since 2004 the Seminar has been organized in OKB “GIDROPRESS”. It has proved to be a forum of leading nuclear specialists and provide a possibility to exchange information on all issues related to designing and operation of horizontal steam generators.
On 21st of May, 2010 the 8th International Seminar on Horizontal Steam Generators has finished its work at OKB “GIDROPRESS”, Podolsk, Moscow Region. This event was organized by OKB “GIDROPRESS” with support the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and participation of State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” (Rosatom). The seminar continued the series of seminars on steam generators, five of which were held in Finland and the 6th, the 7th and the 8th – at OKB “GIDROPRESS”. Seminar Proceedings
The 7th International Seminar on Horizontal Steam Generators in OKB “GIDROPRESS” received support from the Federal Atomic Energy Agency and IAEA. The Seminar was attended by around 150 specialists of 62 organizations from 12 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czechia, Finland, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Armenia and Ukraine). In 2004 the 6th International Seminar on Horizontal Steam Generators was held in OKB “GIDROPRESS” for the first time. The Seminar was organized with assistance of the IAEA and RF Ministry of Atomic Energy. Including experts of OKB “GIDROPRESS”, it was attended by 136 specialists of 55 organizations from 13 countries.Seminar Proceedings
